The pursuer

Hello, everyone! In this post I'm going to talk about my project for this year, The Pursuer . It will be a thriller about a group of friends who are being taken down by a mysterious assassin. The setting will be a hostel, where the group of friends is staying.

Camera movements:Zoom

Among camera movements, zoom is themost used movement. It consits in changing the lenght of the focal lens of the camera in order to make the objects in the frame appear closer or further without having to move. It is the most frequently-used camera movement, nevertheless, it is also the most overused, so it should rather be used carefully. Here's an example of a zoom in:

Rule of thirds

The rule of thirds is, most likely, one of the most important composition techniques, if not the most important. The rule of thirds consists of dividing the photograph, or frame, in 9 equal squares, doing so by placing two parallel and equally placed horizontal lines and two other vertical lines, which are parallel and equally placed as well. Once the frame has been divided, we "put" the main or most important objects in the intersection of two of these lines, so that we can draw the spectator's attention to these objects.
