The asylum of storms

Hello, everyone! In this post I'm going to talk about my project for this year, The Pursuer . It will be a thriller about a group of friends who are being taken down by a mysterious assassin. The setting will be a hostel, where the group of friends is staying.

Recently, we have been tasked with doing a video showing different types of shots. Here's mine:  Enjoy :-)

Among camera movements, zoom is themost used movement. It consits in changing the lenght of the focal lens of the camera in order to make the objects in the frame appear closer or further without having to move. It is the most frequently-used camera movement, nevertheless, it is also the most overused, so it should rather be used carefully. Here's an example of a zoom in:

The rule of thirds is, most likely, one of the most important composition techniques, if not the most important. The rule of thirds consists of dividing the photograph, or frame, in 9 equal squares, doing so by placing two parallel and equally placed horizontal lines and two other vertical lines, which are parallel and equally placed as well. Once the frame has been divided, we "put" the main or most important objects in the intersection of two of these lines, so that we can draw the spectator's attention to these objects. In order to show how the rule of thirs works, here are two examples, one that has been done wrongly ,and other one that has been done correctly: Wrong example Correct example

In this post, I will talk about my favourite film, director and other whatnots in the film industry. First of all, I'd like to state that my favourite movie(s) is The Lord of the Rings trilogy, since not only is it the adaption of one of my all-time favourite books, but also because personally speaking, they are the perfect example of masterfully set and filmed movies. Even though Lord of the Rings is my favourite, a close second would be Forrest Gump, because of the tenderness of its main character, Forrest, and its plot.  I'm no expert in directing movies nor acting, and even though I know they play a crucial role in whether the film is succesful or not,  I don't tend to focus on how the movie has been filmed nor the acting, unless these elements are either brilliantly done or poorly executed. That being said, my favourite director is Peter Jackson, famously known for directing the Lord of the Rings movies. I regard him as my favourite director, mainly, ...
